I am a happy AccountEdge user for over 10 years, except for one key issue. Analyze inventory is very slow in the NE edition. This is a feature that we use all day long every day as we have shipments coming in every day to fill orders and have to use the Analyze Inventory feature to match up incoming inventory to existing orders.

It only takes about 5 seconds on the Pro version, but unfortunately we have to use this in the NE version as we have 2-4 people concurrently using the file during the day. Over the years many aspects of NE have been made to run faster, but this is one section that really needs to be improved. On a round calculation we do about 50 lookups each day or 100 minutes of time. This is versus what would take only a few minutes in pro version.

That mean we are wasting about 90 minutes a day, 5 days a week or 7.5 hours a week. Office for mac 98. Ftp server for mac freeware software. At $15/hour that translates to about $5850 a year in wasted labor.

Even more problematic is that it’s just darn frustrating to wait around. I really hope that you can put improving the response of inventory lookup high on your priority list for the 2019 version.
