It's good enough to do ios/mac builds, but don't expect to be able to use the editor with any productivity. I wouldn't recommend it for programming either. It takes over 30 minutes to do a build, but only about 3 min on my quite beastly linux box (8+ hours vs 20 min for a full build, if you need to make custom UE4 builds).
