Mar 25, 2012 • • • • All Brands have different requirements but for all of them you have to be qualified! Some are easier to obtain then others i.e Inglot just go in with your qualification and they give you one Ilamasque just apply on their website with a photo of your qualification and business card ect. Nars is the same apply on their website they do have some other requirements doh Makeup Forever and MAC are harder to acheieve also MAC you have to pay a fee for. Download MACs application form online and it will give you all the requirements and either send it off or hand it to a manager( not a beauty consultant they can 'lose' them) at a mac counter.

Bloggers/Beauty Youtube gurus are given them by the brand if they choose so, its known as a press pro card. You only really get these if you have a high readership/ viewership. Most of them you need to have two forms of proof as a make up artist. These are the things that most of them require. Composite Card, Business Card with name and specific profession, Editorial Page with name credit, Union Card, Professional License, Diploma/Certificate, Publication Masthead, Program/press Materials with name, Contract on Production Company Letterhead, Crew/Call List on Prod.

Letterhead, Professional Letter of Reference of Employment. Also if you are licensed in the beauty field you can get into make up, skin, and hair shows. They have all of the booths set up there and most of them have the papers (or computers/ipads) to apply there and since you have to be licensed to get into them they don't have you fill out all of those requirements. But if you can't get in to one then just go on websites & fill the stuff out or go to the stores. I know MAC, Make Up Forever, Inglot stores have the paperwork in there.
Hope this helped (. Apr 05, 2012 • • • I t hink each pro club has their own rules. Mostly the same/similar Qualification such as a diploma/certificate, etc.
Website with portfolio business card publications Some people don't have formal qualification, or never went to makeup school, but doesn't mean they're not professionals:) a lot of big names makeup artists actually don't have formal training at a makeup school. When you apply for a pro card, there is usually a form you have to fill out and it'll list what you need to qualify for one:). Jul 19, 2012 • • • Different companies have different requirements. I have a MAC PRO card and to get that I had to show 2 forms of credentials including my ID which was my diploma I received from my school and a business card. I also had a MAC student card prior which has different requirements. You can only get a student PRO card if you attend a MAC 'certified' school. I don't have any other PRO memberships else where yet.some places require you to show other proof such as a union membership or a copy of a call sheet or print credits etc.
Since I don't do work on movie sets or for print I havent applied to places that require those qualifications.
