Microsoft Remote Desktop For Mac Clipboard
The Microsoft Remote Desktop application doesn't have a clipboard function (ability to copy from an operating system and paste it to another). However, according to the developers, you can copy / paste files by using the Redirection option.
To do this, click the + button and in the Add Local Folder window enter the following information: Name: Set a name for the folder to be available during the remote session. Path: Select the path to the folder to be available during the remote session. For additional information, check the support.
The program is hosted on a terminal server that I access from my desktop via Remote Desktop. I can paste the image into Paint and various other applications on the terminal server. I can copy image from Paint on the terminal server to the clipboard on my PC and paste the image into Paint on my PC.
I am running Microsoft Remote Desktop 8.0.12 for Mac OSX 10.9.5. I have noticed that the check box to 'Enable folder redirection' is ignored. I edit a remote desktop then unchecked this box, but folder redirection is always mapped when connecting to any remote desktop with this option unchecked. Does anyone else have this issue?
